It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…

It’s almost December! This means only one thing… lot’s of festive Christmas events with Christmas lighting in cities and towns across the world.

Here are some of our favourite dazzling Christmas displays and events from across the globe to get you in the festive mood.

The Home of the Christmas Market

When we think of Christmas markets, Germany instantly comes to mind. More and more people are starting to go on weekend getaways to enjoy the traditional German festive feeling – there are plenty to choose from.

This is a photo from Berlin’s centre in Alaxanderplatz. As well as wrapping up with your winter scarf and hat on, drinking Glühwein (mulled wine) is a must for extra winter warmth.

Getting the Christmas Spirit at Home

You don’t always have to travel  far to enjoy a Christmas market, they are becoming increasingly popular in the UK too. There are plenty across the country, where as well as enjoying the lights you can buy some gorgeous christmassy gifts. Additionally, there are plenty of Winter wonderland themed places to enjoy playing games, going on rides as well as skating on the glistening ice.

The Public Tree

There is nothing like a grand sparkling Christmas tree to get us all in the Christmas mood.

There are plenty of displays from across the world, here is just one dazzling tree from Las Vegas – a great colourful jazzy tree to reflect the Vegas style.

Travelling Over Christmas

If you are lucky enough to go on a nice cruise over Christmas, This display is a great way to arrive!

Travellers were able to view this beautiful display at the Ocean Terminal, a cruise terminal in Hong Kong. This would be certain to get you in a Christmassy mood on your holidays.

Retail Window Displays

And of course, let’s not forget up and down the high street, almost all retailers will start put marvelous lux displays in their windows.

One of the major displays that comes to mind is in one of the most famous department stores in the world – Harrods, London. Here is part of the Christmas window display from last year – truly spectacular isn’t it?!
